I am dreaming about roses now that they are emigrated in the other hemisphere. I posted in May a very similar image.

Absolutely beautiful, Gigi. The light is enchanting as are the multicolored rose petals. BTW, great job on the OOF BG.

Beautiful "classic" shot, Gigi ( now that we are used to see so many abstract images, this really pops out

). Perfect in every aspect including a great complementary BG !

Nothing is more beautiful than a rose and you've captured it perfectly. Amazing detail and textures placed in a soft plain background. Amazing!

Sweet complimentary background light and DOF. The color and detail in the petals are beautiful. I have never taken a picture of a rose that was worth a hoot. Thanks for the inspiration to give it another go.

Fabulous detail on the rose, Gigi. Love its pose, too, for not being the perfect rose form. Nice glowing light in the yellows. Wonderful overall; really enjoy this one!

Gigi: Spectacular DOF control and color palette. You and I may be the only dinosaurs around here not stacking

. Beautiful shot. May 2011 bring you great subjects and even better light. >=))>
