My first time posting in the new gallery, very exciting. Foxes in te snow seem to be popular at the moment. My own efforts don't compare favourably to Phil Shaw's or Mark Davies' images but it's all i've got in the snow really.

this is a beautiful portrait jack,, snow on the nose really adds to the image. i could be temped to adjust the levels a little, to brighten it a little.

top notch.

Lovely portrait Jack, particularly with that snow.
Had you dug some bait into the snow?

Lovely portrait, like the snow on the face, great eye contact and detail.Do the straight lines reflected in the eye have an effect on the expression?.Very nice. :toast:

What a cracker! If anything I would suggest a little more space on the right side, possibly taking a little off the right. There's also a bit of noise in the background on the large version that should be easily fixed. Another fox shot that makes me envious!

Great stuff Jack, whats the story behind it, how did you get that close? My local foxes are difficult to get anywhere near even with the current conditions bringing there prey closer into the house. The snow on the face is really nice.

Hi
Thanks for the comments all
Phil - I just scattered some raisins in the snow
Ben - the reason i can get so close is i live in London, foxes are very tame around here, i had to shoo this one away from chewing on my camera when i popped back inside for some more raisins

Hi Jack,
This is a beauty with even more to come out of it with some more processing. Personally I'd crop it even closer, but that's a purely personal preference and none of this takes anything from a super image.
