I like the setting a lot Terry, very natural for a sparrow. Good job getting him in the open. The feet and breast "appear" just slightly sharper than the eye but I am really getting nit picky. Excellent composition.

Excellent capture and nice management of the black and whites. I agree with Gary that the eye stripe and crown are just slightly less crisp than the neck and throat, but I don't think it seriously detracts.

Love the habitat, the pose of the sparrow and the detail visible in the darks of the throat and in front of the eye. I think I might add another round of selective sharpening to the facial area. I hope one day to have the opportunity to photograph this species.

The environment adds nicely IMO, with most of it well out of focus..
I've seen a number of different sparrow species this winter so far..Some for the first time. But getting a decent shot is another matter of course.
