King Creek – version two

Here is a horizontal version of my last post of King Creek in Kananaskis Country. This one was taken a little earlier so the mountain has a little more warmth from the afterglow of the sun and the light is a little closer to that of the moon so it's not showing up as a big star in this one. I'm curious which people prefer. Thanks for any thoughts.

Oh, by the way I had to add a tiny bit to the bottom of the frame since I cut it a little close when shooting... let me know if you see anything unnatural at the bottom.

Beautiful scene, Wayne! Nice and cold. I like everything about the vertical more than this version--except the moon, which i prefer in this verision. So, hope you have the last one with this kind of moon

Wayne,

I loved the vertical version and thought it was very striking. This one ain't bad either! While I think the vertical version was a bit more dynamic, this horizontal take is still beautifully captured. The comp is outstanding and I can't offer any suggestions and have no nits.

Oh I must have missed the previous, but this is a wonderful moonlit composition. Love the floating ice in the foreground.

This is a great scene as well as the last post.I like the moon reflection picked-up by the ice in the last post. The star effect around the moon in this photo is done well. :toast:

The scene is very complex, but you composed it to perfection giving a smooth flow with all the curves.
