Shot this mornig at sunrise, as the moon set over the Sangre De Cristo Range in this cemetary in the Wet Mountain Valley after a fresh snowfall overnight. It's a tribute to Ansel Adams that I've had in mind for about a year now, just had to wait for the right conditions (for more details, see the RMNP forum)

That's awesome Stan. The conditions : fog, snow and the moon are the perfect setting. Shouldn't a tribute be in BW though?

I actually do plan on working up this and many others (already posted another B&W on RMNP) in B&W as well--although Ansel certainly worked in color, and in the spirit of my modern version color may be more appropriate--will just have to see which looks better! Thanks!

Beautiful scene, Stan. Just enough wispy clouds in the sky; the blue tones emphasize the cold. Well worth the wait.
