The Gazos Creek

This photo was taken at Gazos Creek. I took this photo because I really liked the angle I could take this photo. As you can see it sort of looks like I was in the creek when really I wasn't in the creek I was near side of the creek.

I would like to know what you think of this photo and all comments are welcome

Thank
you!

I really like the moss/fern covered trees on the left side--personally i think that would have made a much stronger comp, a vertical of the left 1/3. Ive just seen too many comps that look like this (jaded, i know) so despite the decent light and scene, it leaves me wanting more. Maybe you should have gotten down real low (in the creek  )

Zynab, great framing on the left side and the smaller leaves there are a great extra element to have!

I like this a lot as is. I like the composition, the colors and the general feeling of the image.

I think it's a very nice comp. Yes familiar/common, but nicely done nevertheless. It does look like you were in the water. Is this in Big Basin somewhere?

Nicely done Zaynab. I like the comp as is frankly, but I would like to see the shadow detail opened up a little bit perhaps. Nice work, and thanks for sharing.

Very nice perspective of a beautiful creek. I might reduce the blue channel for a warmer look.

Zaynab,

You've composed this scene very well and it's a lovely and peaceful image. The lighting is tough in that these scenes are quite difficult to get both detail in the shadows as well as maintaining the highlights. But I think there is a good balance here.

I would agree about bringing out the greens a little more. Wouldn't take too much.
