I'm not a very artistic person but every once in a while I just feel the urge to do something crazy with an image, to relieve stress I suppose.

Anyway, here's the result of one such time.
I can't remember exactly what I did but it's a HDR from one image processed a few times at different exposures.

I'm ok now, I've been taking my medication

Sony A350
Sigma 10-20 EX

Yes Geoffrey, why not...the wonders of photography and creativity you can produce. It is definitely healing. Sometimes when you go out of the box to create an image, it turns out being an awesome piece like this one.

Great image. the light, comp and depth are really good. I too am not very artistic and when I come up with a image from time to time that has some artistic qualities I get excited about it. I like this image a lot.

Very moody and dramatic! Get off the medication and do this again--I like it!

I love the title and results. When I first looked I immediately thought of a sunrise millions of years ago during the dinosaur era.

You need to let go and express your creative side more often, Geoff. This turned out great. Very expressive image. Seriously, if you start letting it out in your pictures you won't need the pills any more. Trust me on this.

Not sure how realistic the light is with such a strong orange tint but it looks very pleasing to the eye!

Geoffrey,

First of all, this is a beautiful seascape. I really like the dark cloud in the upper corner that frames the scene as well as helping to create a very moody scene.

I really, really like the colors on the beach - not quite sure what I would call it... copper? And the beach itself is laid out beautifully including the tidal pool.

The only suggestion I have would be either toning down or changing the hue slightly of the bright yellow/orange clouds above the sun. But that's minor and of course a personal artistic choice at this point.

You might want to consider the PhotoArt Gallery next time, although I wouldn't have considered that had you not emphasized the "artistic" points.

I like this very much - great job with this one.

I think your processing really paid off on this one - what a great alien landscape!
