One more from my Cooper's vs Rabbit series. I wish the chicken wire wasn't around the tree, but you get what you get I guess. I like this one almost as much as the other one because of the talons out on the bird and the rabbit looking up. Looking forward to reading others' opinions.

Canon 50 D
Canon 70-200mm IS USM II @ 200mm
ISO 320, 1/6400th @ f/4

Bryan: Another fantastic image. Don't know which one I like better. The look on the rabbits face is priceless in this image. Love the shadow from the Coopers. Agree about the tree and chicken wire, but there's not a photographer on the planet that wouldn't smile with this shot in their files!!

The action is so amazing that the chicken wire does not bother me. If it really bothers you it could be cloned out. I would love to have a shot like this in my collection. :toast: :jump:

Both shots are absolutely amazing. If I had to chose, I think I would take the first - I love how the rabbit is running away... but this is great, and I hope you post more in your series! Congrats on very unique images.

Good shooting. Action and still you caught the personalities of the two subjects.

wow, Bryan! These are great shots. Love the pose from both hawk and rabbit. The wire is a shame, but I think if could be cloned out. It would take some patience, but I think definitely worth trying.

Sweet shot Bryan, I'd love to have this in my files any day, but in my opinion it's a distant second to your previous post. All of the elements came together perfectly in the other shot while in this one there are too many competing elements. Congratulations on an excellent series of incredible action shots.

Yes a little bit of luck was involved in getting this series of images, but you made the best out of a great opportunity. Great job.

WOW!!! That’s an amazing photograph. I do agree with you about the chicken wire but it's better than not having the photo at all.

another excellent shot in this series.
The position of the hawk is exquisite, and the poor rabbit realizes he is in big trouble.

Here's a repost with the tree removed. Curious to hear thoughts on the editing.

glad I checked back in on this--your cloning looks fantastic. well worth the effort for such a fantastic shot.

that must have been one hungry Coop, going after this rabbit (or maybe the rabbit was already injured before the encounter began and the Coop saw opportunity?).
