Another new species for me from Arizona last month at Saguaro National Park. I saw a few on the way there, but this was the only one I saw in the park, and was the only one I could photograph.

Canon 50D, 400 5.6L, ISO 400, 1/800, f5.6. About 60% of orig. pixels.

Nice shot Terry. Very sharp for 800th sec.in flight. Good work. Seems a little desaturated to me but my monitor is new and also not yet calibrated which is why my image may be too saturated...

Nice catch for that speed.

On your next visit to Tucson spend more time around Sweetwater - they nest there and are often easy to see and photograph in the area.

Hard to get this sharp at 1/800th, so hat's off to ya Terry.
Great job on managing the exposure, especially on the underside of the wing.
Well done..And give it time, 2011 can only be better than recent years..
Because if it's worse, we're all in deep doo-doo

I like the overall comp. These are cool hawks and I would love to get a chance at one someday. Although not tack sharp in the larger version still a nice image.
