Happy New Year to you all. Its going to be a great year. Photos to be taken and expressions to be made. Its raining here now so I thought I would bring out a rain inspired image to start the year.

Dew/Rain on Maiden Hair Fern in the Santa Cruz Mountains. These mountains are incredibly diverse in the flora that grows in their canyons and slopes, from stoic redwoods to these delicate ferns. I have several workshops scheduled there this year. Just check out the Website HERE for more information.

4x5, 150mm, Fuji Provia 100F

Enjoy.

This is excellent Youssef. I really like the splayed composition and the water droplets. I've been looking to capture something like this for years, and have yet found a scene that satisfies me. Excellent image and presentation.

Very lovely, Youssef. The patterns formed by the lines, the leaves and the water droplets are all working in cohesion and overall effect is quite something.

Excellent...I like that it fills the entire frame, nice soft diffused light, droplets are bonus, nice detail...beautifully executed.

Youssef,

Way late on this one, but I couldn't let this go without telling you that I think this is fantastic. It's always fun - and very challenging - to do closeup work with the LF and I must say you've captured this beautifully.
