Pair of backlit Blue Tailed Damselflies.
Canon 5D, Sigma 180mm, iso 50, f16; 1/6 - 1/3ss, tripod.
A bit fed up with processing winter shots so I've been in the files and been meaning to work on this one for some time.

Happy new year Guy,
I like the back lighting, but feel the lush background competes slightly with the Damselflies.

A subject where the BL works well Guy - very nice.
Have to admit I am looking forward to spring and summer already - I'm less tolerant of cold weather these days.

I thought summer had come early for a second Guy
Now a smidgen of CCW rotation to make the perch straight and it's a cracker.

I would also add a bit of CCW rotation to straighten the stem but otherwise perfect IMO Guy. A lovely shot and one that makes me yearn for Spring.
