I am not sure this actually fits nature photography except that Mother Nature was being impressive with the snow.

Ireland's record snowfall January 2010.

Post processing: cropped scraggly tree from left side and changed to black & white.

Nikon D80
18-55mm F/3.5-5.6G
35mm
AF-A
Shutter 1/125s
ISO 800

Wow, that is a spooky graveyard. Mother Nature really is showing one of her moods. Besides the snow it looks pretty windy too. Nice capture and cool image!

Welcome to NPN Sharon! I like your B&W conversion and definitely spooky it is. Look forward to more.

Thank you everyone for the positive comments. I have been l and l (lurking and learning) for sometime.

It wasn't spooky. For some reason (even with the wind and the snow) it had a very calm and peaceful "air" about it.

You couldn't stand still for very long otherwise you would have an inch of snow on you. I was soaking wet when I finally left. Of course, there is a pub just outside the entrance of the cemetery and the Smithwick's was wonderful !

I have a series of photos that I am working on, mainly just cropping and converting to b&w. I was extremely lucky with the light.

Thanks again all!

Welcome, Sharon!
This is a very fine image. The perspective on the old headstones, and the peak at the church are just great.
The B&W conversion fits the mood here perfectly.
Cheers -
