Like most of you, I don't have many pics of me and frankly don't like pictures of me. But it's been a while since I've shared one. Here I am in my favorite place, Yosemite. Captured by my good and long time friend, Kyle Krause.

I'm posting this image as it's a companion image for the image I'm just now going to post in ES&S. Kyle grabbed this of picture of me while I was making the exposure.

The Pahono Bridge in Yosemite has been mentioned frequently, so this image also shows this stone bridge which really marks the starting point of the one-way loop around Yosemite Valley. Also, you can see that I've draped my dark cloth over some Willows along the Merced that were in my way. Too many and too big to hack down.... and I wouldn't do that anyway...

Cool shot here, Lon. Kyle caught an excellent "field" action shot.
Although swatting the bugs with a card is not necessary, I just spray the glass on my lenses with bug repellent......

When I get the chance to see Yosemite, I look for that bridge. Then finally, I will be making images as good as yours Lon....  The camera I own already.

Lon,

So did it take one or two trips to get all that stuff down by the creek, and it looks like you're about 75 to 100 yards away from the bridge. That also means you had to bust brush or balance on slippery boulders to get there. I looked at the post on ES&S and I see why you made the effort. So it's not just magic photography fairy dust for how you make those wonderful images then. Also thanks for the time you have spent critiquing my posts, they are insightful and many times helpful as well as the occasional inspirational all are appreciated greatly.
