Carlsbad, California

Just messing around with the new lens and these interesting sand formations.

Canon 5Dmk2, Nikon 14-24. Blend of 2-3 exposures to control highlights.

That's a fine lens. A well constructed and not overstated "texture and sunset" image. A nice job of blending as well. :toast:

Wow, nice sunset, but the fantastic textures and colorful reflections put this one over the top, Jimmy! Excellent blending, too. Interesting how the image appears to be a bit tilted, even though the horizon looks level.

I am guessing this was shot somewhere around f/11-f/16. Given that, and looking at a larger view of this, does the new lens make an obvious difference over the Canon 16-35?

I see you are a real lens fanatic - aside from your Zeiss lenses you have the Nikon wide angle too. I wish I had that much money to spent on glass.
Great shot - love the foreground and the clouds up there.

Wonderful foreground and a great job on the blend!

Seems like "everyone" is getting the nikon wonderlens to their canoncameras these days :-)

I just purchased a 16-35 and you better not start tempting me with an even more expensive lens :-)
