The last rays

Continuing with my previous post on late autumn, this is another image where the light is just skimming through the top layers of the larch trees.
The sun was moving down behind the mountain and the last rays did the 'touch-and-go' on these larches.

Thought that B&W conversion might help emphasizing on light & shadow combination.

Views most welcome...

Well done Balakumar. I really enjoy this and your other one too. The high lights really glow with your conversion and just enough details in the darks, lovely. Cheers

The light kissing the tops of those trees makes this very special. Your conversion accentuates the tones so well. Good strong contrast makes for a lot of drama here. Very well done.

Even though the abstract feel to this is more profound, I guess I liked the tighter comp better.

I love the graphic nature of this, really beautiful! The even spread of trees makes for a very pleasing composition.

Balakumar,

Excellent study in light and shadow as well as patterns in nature. I think the b&w served you well, although I'm curious if the color version wasn't doing the same thing. The contrasts and shadows could be adjusted to accomplish the same thing - I think. but then this is your image and your interpretation and presentation and it works very well. Nice capture, good eye.

Love the way the last light dots the tallest treetops here. I thin I could see a vertical pano focusing on just the right side working nicely as well. Very nice!
