Stalking...
by Charles Gangas
I was the first to enter the park at Ft. De Soto the other day under cloud and heavy rain. The rain subsided as I approached the parking lot to North Beach but it was still dark and very foggy. After finding my way to "Sunrise Lagoon" I slowly made my way onto a very wet sandbar, sat down, and waited for this stalking GBH to come into range.
The light and atmospheric conditions pushed the D300 to it's limit, and mine, but the image for me captures the behavior and habitat of the GBH amid the still beauty and tranquility of the lagoon.
Thank you Mia for your expert guidance to this magical place. And thanks for looking, C&C's always welcome.

8 commentsvery nice foggy atmosphere here. Great comp.
I've spent many a morning in the fog in that lagoon so this brought a big smile to my face. I love well done foggy images and I believe you handled this very well. I am glad you processed this for what it is; a foggy atmospheric image. Great pose, mood and comp.

I think you took advantage of the adverse conditions with a great result
