Imaged at the Como Zoological Garden in St.Paul,MN. Photo equipment was 35mm Canon FTB and a Soligor Telephoto Zoom Lens. Even though a captive subject, the setting/background suggests the true natural environment of this beautiful arctic species!

Beautiful capture of this Arctic Fox. Great management of the whites, and the details in the fox and snow. I would love to see a larger version. Great image. :toast:

Not a conventional angle for most wildlife photos. A larger view would really help to showcase the detail which is a big part of what makes this photo I think.

Normally one would prefer an eye level viewpoint for most animals but in this instance the almost straight down angle coupled with the circular curled shape make for an interesting composition. Techs look good. You might add a slight increase in brightness to the shadow side of the face and shadowed eye.

Hi Jeff and welcome to NPN :wavey: A very unusual angle for this type of subject, but I like it. The curled up pose with it looking up at you is very appealing. The whites are indeed well 'managed'. I do like Lon's suggestion for brightening up the shaded eye/head. It does help to post larger images (720px with an option to post a 1200px long image) Larger images can help others in giving better constructive comments, as well as including techs such as SS, aperture, ISO, etc.
I am looking forward to more of your contributions to the Wildlife Gallery. :toast:
