Really Big Bear

It's been incredibly cold lately so I've been going through older photos and came across this one I decided to share. Shot this large male Brown Bear at Brooks Falls in Katmai a couple of summers ago. He was clearly the biggest male at the falls that day and kept stealing fish from other, smaller bears. C&C are greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking!

As with Hashad's tiger photo, I am surprised at the close working distance. A slightly lower point of view would have emphasized his mass even more, but this is still a heck of a photo with an intimate feel - I can see the blood on his lips, the glint in his eye and bits of flesh dripping from his claws, real "intimate".

I think you can be glad you were not holding a fish in you hand! He looks like he is carrying a chip around on his shoulder. I love the tendril of fish hanging from the side of his mouth.
