These birds move around in small flocks working their way, usually in a downward spiral, over dead trees or limbs.

1d2n 500/f4 1.4X
ISO 400 f9 1/250 exp comp -1/3 cropped from horizontal
Would have prefered faster shutter speed but needed the dof to try and get the branch and bird in focus. As it turned out I still had to selectively sharpen the head a little.

Nice comp with good background and positioning of the bird on the hanging branch.

This is very sweet rob. Love this little bird's whites, greys, and blacks and the feet sticking out. The eye really grabs me with that eye ring. Great perch branch and super BG. Really nice overall comp. Very well done.

Neat looking bird and he gave you a nice look. With his grip on the downward pointing branch, it looks like he's hanging on for dear life.

Interesting comp and pose. I like the look the bird is giving and seeing the back feather patterns adds to the image for me, well done.
