I know this is bad. That horn really should be in focus, but still I find that I like it. It just seems to me that the out-of-focus horn circling the eye really draws attention to the eye which is extremely sharp and has a nice catchlight. But still I know I should have gotten the horn in focus. The problem is that I live in Florida. Yep, that's my excuse. I have no exposure to such wild animals here in Florida (only birds) and so when I see one I get too excited and just can't think straight enough to set the camera properly. I just need more practice!
Critiques and comments are very welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking!

9 commentsI don't find the out of focus horn a problem I actually think it's a plus it really draws you into the rams face, so to me it's plus instead of a detriment.

that eye makes the shot for me. Not bad at all.
If you ask me (and most of my wildlife shots are accidental or incidental) the OOF is not only good here, it's essential to give depth to the shot--if it were in focus there would be less apparent seperation between horn and face. The only 'problem' i have with the shot is that the bg color is kind of dull and similar to the ram. Good entry!
