Great place for the owls! I was there 2 yrs ago, and have similar pics on the cross markers.
(For those not familiar with Cape Coral owls, the local VERY protective preservation people have erected small crosses to mark where each burrow is, so people don't tromp on them. They are easily missed, as they are on public land very near the center of town.
The owls, however, are sure the markers were put there for handy perches! )

Marc, this is a lovely portrait. Fine detail in the feathers, excellent pose, great eyes, nice BG and not a bad perch . Could use, IMO, a bit more room on the right.

I like the colors and over the back pose. BG is nice and clean and really helps the owl stand out.

Striking portrait, Marc. The flash adds a nice touch. Agreed with adding some room to the right, if it exists in the original frame.

sweet shot, Marc. great stare from the owl, and nice bg tones to go with the bird. I agree that just a hair more room on the right would be nice.

Marc,

Great shot with wonderful eye contact. I love the bg colors which cause the yellow eyes to jump out.

Sounds like a very cool place to photograph. Nice warm light and background to set off those gorgeous eyes. I agree with a tad more room on the right if you have it.

The look of the bird really makes this one for me, Marc. Nice techs, too. Agree that a hair more room RHS would help. Fine work!

Hi Marc :wavey: You captured the quintessential owl expression ! The detail and color are beautifully done, for perfection, more canvas is needed on the RT side.

Great result with the aid of the flash

As said some room on the right would be nice, but its still looks great as is.
