Another post of a Burrowing Ow captured in March 2010, Cape Coral, Florida. The bird is on the ground near a burrow.

Wow, you really nailed this one Marc. Good job isolating him from the background and an excellent low angle. The one little twig pointing up to his belly might be a small nit to pick. A bird species I would love to photograph.

Excellent capture, Marc, just needs to be a little smaller in the frame.

Lovely setting, background and low angle Marc. i think you've clipped the toes of one of the legs.

Overall Marc a nice image with good sharpness and exposure. Habitat is great as is the BG. I too think maybe a bit more room on the right and top would make this image "feel" a bit better to me. Hard to tell what is happening with the feet and if you clippped a toe or not.

really nice, Marc. everything here looks great, just a hair tight for me too--I'd add just a tiny bit on top and bottom. but great looking bird and setting. Gary's mention of the twig is good--maybe clone out just the top part where it touches the bird?

Marc,

I adore this species and love the pose and the serious look you caught. Nice light, details & setting.

For me this image would have more impact if there were more room on the top & right, but especially the bottom where it is too tight on the feet, it looks like one foot was clipped. If you have more canvas on the original frame I would add some back in. The twig doesn't bother me.

Technically excellent Marc. I like the previous post a bit more, even with the man made perch. Only nit is the bottom clip in this one.
Well done :toast:

Nice Burrowing Owl. I always like the stare of this owl. They always look like they are trying to be so tough.

I like very much this one also: light was beautiful and exposure and details are awesome- I don't care about the twig but I'd add a bit more BG (that is great indeed)- Fabio

Wonderful capture Marc. I have never even seen on of these birds in the wild but maybe this year. If you had a bit more room on the bottom I think it would be an even better image.

Awesome photograph Marc! Love the stare of the owl. There are some near where I am from and I hope to be able to get a photograph(s) of these owls as well. I just hope to get something half as good as this! :toast:

Nice detail and pose!
A little more room in the frame would be great, and cloning out that little twig sticking his belly too.
