I love the CS Lewis Narnia books for children. I especially love Aslan the lion in the stories. This is my rendition of Aslan. This was a photo converted to a painting in Photoshop using the smudge brush, burning tool and dodge tool. I tweaked it with Viveza and Topaz adjust.

That's cool David. I'd love to see a large version.

David:
I like mesmerizing stare accentuated by the fuzzy hairdo. Admire you patient in preserving the whiskers; must have take some time to paint around it. Well done.

Thanks for describing the process, David. It certainly was effective in focusing attention on those pearcing eyes.

This has a really nice illustrative quality to it. I like that it fills the frame and that those eyes bore right into the viewer. Great stuff!

Great sense of depth, David. Fine job on the painting, and the intensity of the eyes grab the viewer's attention.

Simply stunning. Excellent processing. Liked the way the whiskers stand out almost giving a 3D look.
