Barn Owl

Had a great time watching and photographing the barn owls. Had been so used to using 400 ISO because the light had been a bit hit and miss when we had this great moment when the light was the best we had had, I stupidly got carried away with the moment and left the settings the same, could have kicked myself because I could have used 100 ISO and its been a while since I have been able to do that.Still it was a great moment I had with these beauties, got so many images.

Canon 1DMK4, Canon 500f4L + 1.4 convertor, ISO 400, f5.6, 1/4000

Amazing to get a shot of a Barn Owl in the wild like this Karen!
Do not think that using 400 ISO is a problem on the Mark4 in conditions like this so no worries...

That's a great shot of a Barnie Karen, and in glorious light too.

I've forgotten what ISO100 is like as well, so I wouldn't worry about it!

Delightful. Comp is spot on, I really like the portrait format on this. Sharp, exposed well, good eye contact . . . . what's not to like about it.

Karen, this doesn't suffer at all from the 400 ISO.
Great light, nice pose, fine detail and colorsc -

What a brilliant capture
ISO 400 shouldn't be a problem with the Mk4, at least it didn't suffer from camera shake
Well done Karen.

Super image Karen,

No issues with ISO400 at any time, especially for web use.

Getting the hang of this owl photography aren't you? Nothing wrong with 400 ISO when you can produce quality shots like this. Cracking stuff.
