:wavey: Hi Everyone

An adult male Sloth Bear from Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve of India with a cute expression  Normally we don't see much expression on their faces but this guy gave a cute look when he turned back to check out our jeep following him.

Light was very harsh but in the wild we have to take what comes our way so I hope you all will bear with this difficulty

With Warm Regards

Subharghya

Nice image of the sloth bear. Looks like it had been digging for insects. I like that you have detail in the darker areas of the bears coat. Thanks for sharing.

Generally I don't like images of the south end of northbound animals but I do like this one. Adds something poignant to the bears expression. Nicely placed in the frame too.

Hello S,

Boy, your puns are as good (bad?) as mine!

While I'm in agreement with Sally about "... images of the south end of northbound animals" the head turn here is great and - in my opinion - really makes this shot. I think you also caught the bear at just the right time so that it appears to have some personality. Well done. You also exposed the image quite well - nice black on black detail. The image does seem very slightly soft - perhaps a function of use of the teleconverter?

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

Brad

:wavey: Hi Brad, I agree about the slight softness but that's more for the less DOF and the focus point being on the hind leg. I was tracking the southend of this teddy while he was walking northwards so the camera was locked on to the backend of him and when he suddenly turned I didn't have the time to shift focus :frown: .. I could have used f11 but then the bokeh would have got affected .. Wish it was a perfect world  Thanks for your appreciations !!

The backward glance and expression coupled with his lumbering body posture makes this quite an endearing capture. Congrats.

Love the head turn, and the white of the eye showing (giving that 'cute' look, as you say). Also like the half lifted right hind leg.

A neat shot of a rarely posted subject. I really like the pose here and the BG. The raised foot adds a sense of movement as he goes along his way.
