Here's a female Lazuli Bunting from a spot up in the Sandia Mountains east of Albuquerque. I was pleased with the pose and the angle of the bird.

Techs:

Canon 50D, 500mm f/4 with 1.4x TC
1/250 @ f/5.6
ISO 400
580 Flash @ -2
NR on the Background

Very nice. Good detail/sharpness. Natural color in soft light. Unobstructed view.

Nice clean BG and a good line created by the perch and bird.

A fine pose and comp Keith. Extra nice image quality. Would probably clone out the extra small flash catchlight.

She is a subtle beauty Keith, lovely pose, setting, comp details, sharpness and eye contact. I'd think about removing the tiny second catchlight from the flash. The natural colors are great.

I like this very much Keith. Sharpness and detail look very good and I really enjoy the soft light and colors. The only thing I'd suggest here is cloning the tiny flash catch light. Excellent image.
