I took this with a simple point and shoot 9 years ago on Little Cayman Island. I processed it by just darkening it and softening it slightly in Nic Efex with the Midnight process. Its a favorite shot of mine from years gone by. Hope you like it, comments welcome. I was going to save this for next Hallowe'en, but I cant wait.

Kat: I especially like the light here and the shadows around the shells. Also makes me wonder what's in the chest but I don't think I would dare disturb the spirits there to find out. Nicely done. >=))>

Splendid lighting here Kat. I love the long shadows and darker background.

Hi Eva and Bill, thanks for the kind comments. I have an entire series of photographs from the subtropics and tropics that i am working on.

Yes, that looks like a wooden treasure chest, and from the point of view of art that is fine, because it does give it that Caribbean cache, but in fact, just between you and me, its concrete block which is intended to weigh down the material. This is Causarina habitat just above the sea level on a storm tossed island near the foreshore.

All the best.

Thank you Peter, I am quite enjoying this website. Its very relaxed, and I have never seen so many 'sheds' in one spot before, so I am happy.
