My last and favorite shot from the hike with John Christopher up by Saint Helens last weekend.

Mark,
I really like the combination of color, texture and lines. The contrast between all the dead trees and the vibrant colors are strong characteristics. The pines and foliage in the ULC balance the photo and give it the necessary quality to show the hillside.

Mark,
Looks like you two had a good hike. What I like about this image is the pattern of diagonal lines the lay downs make. They look almost equally spaced.Nice image
Thanks for sharing

The downed trees really make it, and it's a nice mix of colors as well. Pretty shot.

Mark,
I think this has got to be my favorite from your recent posts. The diagonal lines created by the tree falls and intermixed color makes this a pleasing image to me.

Thanks to eveyone for commenting. When John and I walked around the corner and I saw those trees laying down with the color inbetween, I knew it was going to great.

I will echo the other comments. I like the striations of color with divisions supplied by the fallen trees. Very nice.

Mark,
Yessir, I like this one a lot! Isn't amazing how neatly all the trees were blown down?
Good eye .

Yeah, Jim, for miles and miles and miles. This area was a full on climax forest the day before Helens blew in 1980!

Beautiful. I hope it's blown up big and hanging on your wall. Nice work.
