Greetings from Bulgaria
by Boris Pophristov
Hi all NPN members! With this posting I want to introduce myself (a new member).
I'm Boris Pophristov from Bulgaria. I've always been in love with Nature and a few years ago I found out I can "capture" these emotions with the power of Photography. That's how I came to be an amateur nature photographer (for now). I started in 2006 with a high-end compact digital camera. In 2008 things got more serious when I got my first DSLR with a couple of lenses. Two years later I was already mad about hand-made pinhole cameras and analogue photography. From about a couple of months I'm a proud owner of a medium format camera - Mamiya RB67 PRO SD.
I started mostly with Macro and Wildlife. This evolved to Landscape Photography and what I found out is that the longer the exposure, the more sense the word "Photography" made. So I steadily began pushing exposure times further and further: from shooting leaf-swirls in mountain streams to several hours of star trails and several months of sun trails with pinhole cameras.
During these years of development I used a lot of online resources for learning and inspiration. But there's one website I owe the most - the NPN website and its members. For years I've silently followed the website. And here I am today, a proud member of the Nature Photographers Network. Thank you for this opportunity.
Best of Light,
Boris Pophristov

Really nice to see another Medium Format user here too. I've used a Mamiya RB 67 for over 15 years now. I still have the original Pro model and moved to the Pro SD several years ago now. However, I use primarily a 4x5 Large Format these days, but will not part with my Mamiya gear.
Looking forward to some images from that great equipment !
