One of many outstanding viewpoints from the north shore of scenic Lake Superior. Artist's Point is located within the confines of Grand Marais,Minnesota. Taken in late summer with a Canon AE-1 and wide-angle lens; f22 and 1/125,Ektachrome-ISO 100.

Most of the stuff I see on this site is something shot around the colorful time of day so it's nice to see a fresh normal daylight scene. I'd fix the tilt on the horizon Jeff.

Ahh, summer by the lake. Nice to see images from close to home.
Love the colors

Jeff,

Welcome to NPN and the ES&S/Landscape gallery. Agree with Steve's comments on both points. But actually, this IS quite a colorful image. I really like the "deep blue" look of the sea - I mean lake. Also agree about the tilted horizon. See my recent post in the General Forum. I might add another tip in that make sure you post to the maximum size allowed, or at least something a bit larger than you have posted here. Really tough to enjoy, much less critique at this size.

Not sure what the white things and grouping of rocks in the water are though.

Thanks for posting,

Lon
