From this past fall.(I'm so sick of snow and ice right now!) I like the subtle blues in the female, as compared to the male and together I think they compliment each other very nicely.

50d, 500mm, Iso 100, F 5.6, 1/320 LARGER version also posted.

Sharon, nice light on this bird. I like the perch and the BG. This is a bit tight for my taste and it seems this is a pretty big crop given the loss of some detail noticable around the face. It would be my inclination to pull back on this and give the bird some more room. I think overall the IQ would improve on this nice shot.

Sharon,

I agree with Ron B on the crop suggestion. I like the bird's pose, light in the eye, the head angle and I especially like the background colors. The light on the bird is very appealing too

Lovely light and complementary background Sharon - possibly a tad more room?

cheers

Nice pose, perch and BG!
Some loss of detail in the larger version, so it may not be able to handle this big of a crop.
Nice, nontheless!

WOW Sharon,
What a stellar background. You could not have watercolored a more complimentary background than this. I could go either way on the crop. I do like it as is but it might be better with just a tad more room. Lovely image Sharon.

Looks wonderful as posted Sharon. The composition did not initially strike me as too tight in the frame, still doesn't. Nice job!!!
