Black & (Winter) White

Another big 5 image stitch from Yosemite the first weekend in January. I'm tired of all this sunshine, I need more winter! I think it's coming back for a couple of days next week. Was kind of stumped on a clever title, any thoughts? I hope you enjoy it, and look at the larger one too, please.

D200,
18-70mm,
1/10th sec, F/11,

Thanks,
Chris

chris, you really should be working with a 4x5. nonetheless, what you do with your d200 is impressive! lovely b&w image.

This has a great atmosphere Chris. Love the fog or snow blocking the view and providing a bit of mystery. The conversion is top notch, in the larger photo the detail you have in the trees is awesome. I might clone out the grass in the middle at the bottom of the frame, not so intruding at this size but if you printed it up big might be a factor. A very fine photo. Cheers

Chris, there is incredible dynamic despite the steady scene, the vanishing background is really frightening.

Fantastico Chris! You scare me. You progress on a daily basis. This is what I meant last time - snow as white as possible. Ah, at least I can take the credit for your progress. That's good....

Chris,

You continue to amaze me with the diversity of images you've captured from this single meadow. The mix of pine and oak is wonderful, as is the snow-dusted granite wall. But adding the mystery and mood of the ever changing valley fog really sets this one off.

Now even though you've got trees leaning in different directions and there probably aren't any that are exactly vertical, my suggestion would be to correct the lean of the LH tree so it's more vertical. Just gives a keystoning impression more than anything else. Very minor nit though.

Great shot Chris. I particularly like how you've captured texture in the granit wall.
