This juvenile grebe was taken in Switzerland last month.
He moved along the bank of the canal and for a moment he came out from the dark nook.

40D 700
f7,1 1/80
ISO 400
25% of the original.

Thanks for viewing.
C&C are very welcome.

I like this capture a lot. The composition of the habitat, the grebe's expression and the feeling of the grebe coming out into the open but looking around. I like the lighting with the dark area defining where it came from. Spot on :toast:

Monica,

I love the natural habitat and the detail on the bird. The water rings are a great feature as well. I really like the shot.

Monica, looks like its sitting in a doorway. Nice effect and good detail on the eye. I might have darkened the grass around the bird, though.

Cool shot Monica. I like the way the bird seems to be smiling as it peeks out of the vege. Nice comp and sharpness on the bird looks good.

Well framed by the bank and vegetation, looks cozy. Held up very well to the major crop.

Cute little guy, love the cozy environment here Monica.
Great head turn and eye, you get a good sense of the birds character with your close-crop.
Well done & TFS :toast:
