Bear Tracks

It seems people are placing images like this in the landscape section instead of close-up and macro section. So I will follow the herd.

Fall leaves and bear tracks, Eagle River, Chugach State Park, Alaska.

Hard to tell if they are black or brown bear. Can't trust tracks along the silty shoreline, they tend to get distorted. The left one is a rear and the right a front.

Looks like they did an abrupt right turn! They're obviously pretty big tracks based on the size of the leaves. I like the how the color of the leaves really pops against the darker mud. Very nice Carl.

Thanks Bill, The whole area was covered with tracks. These are different tracks going different directions. There's a moose track bottom left, a brave soul to be wandering these parts when salmon are running.

Interesting intimate Carl. I may prefer a touch more contrast in the mud to enhance the texture but otherwise a fine image.

Outstanding, Carl. Love the birch leaves and how they give wonderful contrast to the mud, and give some idea of the size of the tracks. Nicely done.

The colour of the mud contrasts nicely with the leaves Carl. A real nice find. Cheers

Love the colors here with the leaves and that black mud. The tracks just give me the shivers. You don't think he was trying to confuse you and in fact was really tracking you, do you? Beautiful shot.
