Not one of our favourite mammals,as it has contributed to the decline of our native 'red',but still photogenic as it sat in front of my hide, eating nuts I put out for the red squirrels.
Canon Mk11N,300mm lens,1/125 f5.6 and iso250.
Phil.

Nice image. I like the pose and the snag in front of the squirrel balances the photo. Thanks for sharing. Too bad these grey's were not left where they belong.

Very nice image of species that severely strains our patience as we watch them raid bird feeders. My Golden Retriever actually caught one this AM that just refused to give up his free meal. Fortunately she was not bitten.

Very nice. I like the composition and the pose. The only nit I find is quite minor, but maybe a little more depth of field to get all of the the upright gnarled root focused would be nice, attainable with a smaller aperture or some re-orienting the hide to get it more parallel with the lens.

This is a lovely image Phil. The perch is simply great. The bokeh is very nice. In this case I would be rather tempted though to sanitize that BG by cloning out the OOF diagonal twig in the BG between the squirrel and the perch.
