A windswept Inverness Beach in Nova Scotia on a cold October morning a little after sunrise. Thanks for looking and as always, your input is greatly appreciated.

That is a very diverse beach! If you had some intense sunlight, and cropped the top, you could say it was the Gobi Desert or something and I'd believe it. Great comp, I like how you minimized the ocean here, showing just enough to give a sense of place.

A bold and graphic image Eva. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more contrast in the sky. Lovely work and stunning detail.

Wow, not exactly the kind of beach I'm used to here in Florida! Love the windswept look and the texture in the sand. Also like how the clouds kinda mimic the windswept look of the sand.

The composition enhances the vastness. Love the color opposition between sky and sand. Beautiful image.

Those rocks are remarkable, like mini hoodoos in the windswept sand. Love the perspective you have used to emphasize these, and the texture in the sand is outstanding. This beach of 'yours' has such diversity and mood and you have made such phenomenal images, Eva; everyone of them superb.

This looks great Eva. You composed this one very effectively - the pebbles work great as fg subject and the sense of distance created here is amazing. I also like the other stuff in the fg. The distance also looks good. Beautiful work!

I like that there's nothing particularly dominant in the foreground here. It lets the whole (very unique looking) beach impress the viewer, and the subtle sky is complementary as well. I guess I'm still wondering how this would look with an even more simple area as a foreground.

Eva, the large version offers a vivid and interesting pattern! The interplay of colors, textures and shapes is amazing, as well as the composition with the small stripe of the sea. I like this uncommon point of view.

This is really excellent, Eva! Great use of the wide lens to capture the fascinating foreground. This has a feeling of somewhere peaceful and remote.

That is like no beach I have ever seen, very cool indeed!. You used that TS lens very well here, tack sharp DOF, I really like the low perspective also, the slither of ocean is just enough. Wonderful textures and subtle lighting, great image Eva!.

Wonderful low perspective and composition is good to show off the beach stones that lead you into the image, well see and well done.

It looks like the rocks are there to see you preform Eva. Love the repetition through out to the horizon and the subtle colours and tones. The sky and the breaking surf are a perfect simple compliment to this audience. Great photo. Cheers

Eva,
Terrific point of view and I like the use of the 2/3-1/3 composition, emphasizing the fascinating sand and rocks in front of you.
I imagine you tried many different comps and angles while out there this morning. I'm wondering if you captured something from a little higher vantage point with a longer focal length just capture some interesting patterns and arrangements of just the sand and rocks? Absolutely nothing wrong with this viewpoint and capture, just curious about other options you may have explored.

I wonder if this a cobble beach turning into a sandy one or the other way around. At any rate there is a sense of movement and change in this image that is brought out by your low pov. Just the hint of the ocean adds place but the seaweed would have done that as well. Once again the mistress of the vista strikes again.

Wow, Eva, this is a very different view of "your" beach. A truly amazing combination of exquisite FG detail and opposing sky detail in a perspective the draws me into the scene as if I were a bird flying low toward the breakers.
