Window on Winter theme

With this post we are really now into this week's theme. With the gardens nicely sleeping under 3-4 feet of snow this year. It's a wonderful time. Think of the snow as a wonderful duvet protecting the flora. This is a image of a blue spruce beside our pond where we skate. To the left, the blond stocks are bamboo...that's right, you read it correctly.
I framed the image with a FlyPaper fly edge to give the impression of looking out the window. Does it work??

All comments/critiques welcome and appreciated.

Bob: Works for me. I'm really pleased to see this through your lens and not my front window! Beautiful scene superbly rendered. >=))>

I like it, Bob. Reminds me of my youth, waking up in the morning and looking out through the old windows at the freshly fallen snow. :toast:

A nice artistic expression and presentation. The depth of the snow makes for a great winter scene here!

Bob, I'm sure I'll be the lone dissenter here but I do love the tree. IMO, the Flypaper edge doesn't work.

Again, I do like the snow.

Cheers,

Carol

Brautiful scene Bob. I can take or leave that edge, but I guess I'd rather be outside where I can get a clear view. Just a matter of taste, I guess.

Lovely winter scene. Didn't notice the framing until I read your intro, so I guess, for me, it isn't a major factor.

I like the tree Bob but I'm not too sure about the window edge. I might have been tempted to break out the glass cleaner.
