Shots of Mt. Rundle in Banff NP are pretty common, but I thought the way the foreground snags mimicked the iconic mount separated this from other views.

Canon EOS 20D; 1/50 @ f/14.0; 41mm; ISO 100; 28-135; tripod.

Enjoy the composition
Seems to have a hyper real feel to it. It could be the warm foreground contrasting with the cool mountain side.
Either way i like it

I agree--a very original take on Rundle! The high contrast fg works well with the lower contrast sky and peak. Clean up the dust bunnies and you have a winner

I agree that the "reflection" of the peaks in the snags works well. I also like the the clouds in the sky, it adds additional interest. Great job.

Thanks to all for the comments.

Stan, thanks for the sharp-eyed callout on the dust spots. That 20D was a complete dust magnet. It seemed like I was spending half my photographic life applying Eclipse on a Pec Pad to the sensor. Auto sensor cleaning has made life much easier.

Very nice photo. Great comp. The snags and mountains, the clouds, and the contrasting colors all make this photo very interesting. Nicely done.

A very dramatic landscape. Looks like those background trunks are still smoking!
