River Doubs

An image from last october taken at the swiss/french border. A very scenic but less known landscape in the western part of switzerland is the area from Les Brenets to St.Ursanne along the river Doubs. Especially in October when the fall colors are at its peak it's a trip woth while.

Nikon D700, AF-S Nikkor 16-35mm
1/6 sec, f13, iso 200, ND Grad

The fall colors make this work for me Bill. I really like the structure of the composition and the scene. Very well composed. By the way, this reminds me of the Mostnica Gorge in Triglav, Slovenia. However, I do think the light here is not that ideal. I could imagine some warm direct light on the wet moss covered rocks.

Very nicely composed and a beauty scene but I have to agree it's lacking the right lighting conditions to really make it work. You did nicely with what you had to work with.

Bill, a serene and consistent composition. The flow of the water is well captured and you show interesting textures of the rocks. A fine shot!
