Short Eared Owl

Well I think with all these images of the shorties this will probably be my last they have been done enough, it just amazed me how this owl was so relaxed he even had time for a good preen and a stretch (have posted the stretch on the avian forum) I will probably never get this close to a SEO again. You can see the sun going down in the right eye

Cracking shot, Karen.
The forums been awash with quality SEO shots lately and this sits alongside them nicely.
I'm looking forward to a wave of Long Eared Owl shots next!

Another beauty, Karen. I might be tempted to give this a little cw rotation, just to level those gorgeous eyes. Out of all your shorties, this is my fav.

There is a temptation to become complacent given the the quality of owl shots on here lately, however there is no certainty that such obliging birds will be with us next season so glad you have made the best of them.Great to see them all, and if mine I would find a good spot on the wall to enjoy for a long time. The large image here looks superb. :toast: :toast:

Another great owl shot from you, Karen. I guess most of us here would love the opportunity you've had with this bird, but a successful image still has to be made regardless of the situation and you've created a shot that is a cut above. A well caught expression. Congrats.

Cheers,
Chris
