Canon 1D Mark 4 With EF 500mm f4 & 1.4 tc
1/320 sec, F 6.3, ISO 1000

Once again I was lucky enough to get real close. Everyone that was looking had departed and they came out 30 minutes before sunset. Thanks for looking and commenting.

Loading up on these owls aren't you. Wow Michael, that is some awesome detail in the face of that bird. Those eyes are killer. I like the habitat and the overall comp given the objective of showing maximum detail in the bird. Very nice shot.

Handsome little dude, beautifully captured, although a slightly lower angle if possible might have worked too.

It must be owl season up there with so many fine images being posted, and this is a beauty. I especially like the exceptional clarity about the face, and the wonderful yellow eyes. Lovely backgroubd textures too.

Another fine shot. Appears to be more owls than you can poke a stick up there at the moment, judging by the posts. Amazing detail Michael - well done

cheers

Michael, this is excellent to me! I love the yellow eyes and very nice detail! Also good isolation with what looks like a heavy and bust BG.
