A Great Tit taken from my nice warm and dry hide, made me feel a bit guilty seeing these birds getting soaking wet but I suppose that's nature eh?

Sony A350
Sigma 50-500
1/125th
f7.1
ISO 400
330mm
Tripod
Cropped a bit off the left as the bird was too central.

Certainly does look a bit depressed with the conditions... nice detail, but a little large in the frame for me plus I am not a great fan of the square crop in this instance...

Great shot :toast: :toast:
By the way, what is reflected in the drop about to drip off the perch? It looks like a couple of yellow things?..

Nice shot although prefer it as a landscape shot (guess I'm subjective on this). I like the water element in this and the drip on the branch. Nice work.

Its nnot one of those images that will grace any book covers (unless it's "Life in the rain") but I can see it being quite a success as clearly and graphically shows how water can be detrimental to the insulation properties of small birds and for that alone it is an excellent image.

I think this works very well. You can't beat that wonderful colour saturation that only a good soaking can provide.
The water drop is an added bonus.

Hello Geoff.

Great title and like the composition on this one, but its the rain in the background that really makes it for me.

Nicely captured.
