A Great Tit taken from my nice warm and dry hide, made me feel a bit guilty seeing these birds getting soaking wet but I suppose that's nature eh?

Sony A350
Sigma 50-500
1/125th
f7.1
ISO 400
330mm
Tripod
Cropped a bit off the left as the bird was too central.

Poor little thing Geoffrey you ought to be ashamed lol in your nice warm hide, some lovely detail though like the raindrop ready to drip off the perch

I like this image very much. The bird tells the story, but the water drop off the bottom of the branch really makes the story complete. Nice capture with rich colors and texture.

Love the soaked look in this image. I would crop more from the right to go a vertical instead of square.

Love the perch, love the bird, love the rain drops. He doesn't seem to mind the wet too much. Very nicely done

Exquisite. Detail, colors, perch and pose are wonderful. They make you feel the rain. Nice touch that subdued catchlight! :toast:

So cool! What a terrific story the shot tells, from the wet perch, the soaked plumage, the drop falling, and the streaks of rain in the background Very cool, very unique, and technically perfect! :toast: :toast:

A great image Geoffrey. Love the comp and the perch stick is super. Wet bird is great, but I love the one drop of water ready to fall the best. Well done.

I like the deep, rich colors and the details in the perch. The streaking rain and drop of water adds additional interest. I would consider making a tad brighter, at least around the head/eyes.

Awesome picture! I love the raindrops streaking through the image. You have great sharpness, background colour, and that raindrop starting to fall from the branch really adds to the picture!
