A winter's tale

Taken less than 48 hours after the huge blizzard (we got about 21 inches in NE Illinois) earlier this month on the East Side of the Morton Arboretum. I was standing in a drift that was at least 30 inches deep at the time I tripped the shutter. What fun.

I processed this as a five-image HDR and then converted to b/w and applied post-processing in Photoshop.

Like the direction of your shadows I could never get my shadows and subject to coordinate. After looking at your BW I may have to go back to a couple and try them that way. Thanks.

Winter B&W images have always been appealing to me, especially when they include shadows such as this one. Very nice, Kerry!

Nice shadow lines and shapes here, Kerry. I like your comp, it makes for a pleasing winter scene. Nice work.
