One of about a dozen shots taken in the area after a bright sun had dropped behind the Cascade Range. Not thrilled with the composition but it beats staying home watching golf.

Thanks for looking, larger version included.

Better light obviously would've made this better, but I like the arrangement of the rocks and their chunky texture. Not crazy about the snag but love the evergreens.

Bruce,
I kind of like the comp. I think it's POV, actually that appeals to me. Looks liek a great place for return visits to explore under lots of different lighting conditions.

Ah, Bruce, there's the "edge of the Falls" shot you mentioned! Loved those rocks, and your image captures their character nicely. The curving tree trunks along the top are interesting, too, and so typical of the river banks around here. Another alternative, as if you had used a different lens and a stitch of images, would be to turn this into a pano of the lower half... Glad you posted the image. It was a fun outing and definitely worth more looks under varying weather conditions/lighting.

Nice comp but I wonder how it would like in little better light.

Bruce, I love the way the light catches the trunks in the background. They need a smart Tevo that works the remote by itself and knows when to slow down all the much needed fast fowarding for golf!

So much prettier than golf! And better for the soul. Beautiful scene. I like the contrast of the colors and textures of the rocks and the nice green trees.

Hi Bruce,

I like the composition a lot. The web sharpening here is quite possibly the best I've seen from you. I think you could open up the shadows a bit more in the background and add some selective contrast to parts of the scene (most notably the rocks). Overall, extremely well done. Congrats, Michael :toast:
