Spring at Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge in northwest Missouri. It is a major stop over for migratory waterfowl. There can be well over half a million snow geese here in the fall along with a large population of Bald Eagles. This was taken last spring. Cropped to pano. As always all comments are welcome.

Birds? I don't see any birds! With that trademark head position when threatened, they just kind of blend into the background...they're so clever.

Neat shot. I love Squaw Creek. I used to drive from here to Rolla, Mizzou a couple of times a year for work, and I always made a point to stop there.

Great job on sharpness on mama and papa. Not possible to get the little fuzzies sharp. ;) Really nice shot, Richard.

It really portrays this family of geese nicely. Mom and dad protecting the future generation. The message it sends is very touching. :toast:

Nice picture! I love the sharpness and the reflections in the water.

Richard,

This is a nice family portrait, it has beautiful light and details. If you have more room on the left side I would leave more there so as to not clip the tail of the adult and a touch more room on the right would balance the composition more too.
