Foggy Forest

This photo is again from my trip to the Ouachita National Forest. This particular location was a visitor area where a small toy train takes kids around for a ride. The tracks for this train can be seen just behind the subject tree. It also had small shops and picnic tables which were not open or not in use because it was all closed for the winter. Some "man-made" objects can be seen just to the right of the photo and I would like to know if their presence is distracting. This photo is similar in composition to the very first photo I posted here on NPN which received some comments about wanting more room around the tree. So I'm quite interested to hear if everyone thinks there is enough space around the subject. Thanks.

I like the mood of this photo and composition. It is unique such that there is still background trees to provide depth.

Another gorgeous tree Cristina! Very ethereal with a sense of mystery. I also like the faint hint of color on the ground cover. Beautiful work!

I suppose it could use a tiny bit more room above the tree, but without you bringing the spacing up in your description, I never would have commented on it as being a concern. All in all, I think this looks great as it is and it has a wonderful mysterious mood.

A well balanced composition, interesting mood, the delicate touch of colors at the bottom adds a lot.

I like the feeling this image evokes and the subdued almost black and white look. Well done.

ISO 160 on a D300S? I guess that is LO 0.3? Anyhow, I like this photograph a lot. The initial impression of symmetry draws me in to the scene. Then I see the differences - right to left. I'd either give more room at the top or crop into the tree from the top. I'd crop the top and make it all about trunks. Cool shot. I wish I were there.

To my eyes no disturb is brought by the man made objects. I like the symmetry of the composition and the way the tree vanishes in the fog. A mystery mood pervades the shot. Nice! :toast:
