I took this picture last December at the shore of the frozen Lake Neusiedl, in the eastern part of Austria. The absolute silence was impressive.

Analog panorama shot with Noblex 135U, Rotar 29mm/2.9, f/11, 1/125s, Fujichrome Sensia 100.

Beautiful palette and foreground detail. Personally, I like it better with about 2/3 of the sky cropped.

Hi Peter,
Excellent idea with this extreme long composition. Lovde it. The scene and exposure look wonderful. Maybe moving the horizon a bit higher up, but even just as it is looks great.

I like this pano composition. Really a beautiful foreground with some interesting details. i would love it better with a cropped sky or moving the horizon a bit higher to emphasize the foreground a bit more.

Peter, This looks very nice. I love the color with the yellow, red and blue tones. Nice light and the ice shards look great. I too like the idea of cropping about 2/3 of the sky drawing more attention to that foreground ice. It's beautiful!

I like the light and elements but wonder if the vertical panorama keeps me so caught up in the format that I don't quite appreciate them as much as I could. Larger picture does alleviate this in some regard.

Love this contrast, the details in the foreground are superb.

Technically this one feels a little rough and noisy but the subject matter is wonderful. The vertical panorama is a matter of taste.

I like the full sky with the nice blue color on top. Also the ice in the foreground looks great. I wonder what it would have looked like as a regular 2/3 image. probably this composition goes much better with the pano. I like it as it is!
