Taken at my feeder. Somewhat bothered by the shadow from his tail, does it detract from the image? All C&C appreciated.

Mark - a very nice image!
Sharp, good pose and perch.
I'd like to see the bird a little less centered.
Shadow doesn't bother me - it is what it is!
If it really bugged you, you could carefully clone it out.

Hi Mark. I don't mind the shadow at all. I would suggest having the bird a bit higher in the frame, looks like a beautiful lichen covered rock worth showing off anyway. Lovely natural setting and great front lighting, not to mention a pretty background. :toast:

Awesome bird- excellent details on larger version- With that pose, you made the correct decision not to open too much the aperture, to save the depth of field- As Sandy said, the BG is easily fixed with a bit of pp- Well done, Fabio

Really nice image. Excellent detail. Lovely color and I like the perch. I would take a little off the right hand side. There is some noise in the BG on the larger version and I would try and reduce that. Overall and VERY nice photo.

I like the wonderful light, good detail and the eye contact, amazing patterns to these birds, I kind of like Gary G. idea of moving higher up in the image to show off that rock, way to go.
