A little while ago I posted another picture from this interesting encounter that I had with this long-eared owl hunting in the daylight some 4 years ago. I also though of a white BG as a big drawback but it turns out that it works quite well on some pictures.

Canon EOS 100 + Sigma 300mm f4
scanned from some regular Fuji 200 film

I like it very much, Andrius ! Great perch, perfect exposure, exquisite detail, No problem to me with the High Key BG, I have some HK images when the BG (sky or snow ) is too bright. I'll post one of them in future !
Cheers.

I like the pose of this better than your previous post. I have no problem with the high-key BG and your scan looks fine. This was a great daylight encounter!

The white background really makes the owl stand out. Great to find an owl active in the daylight.

I also like the white BG Andrius. It does bring the attention to the animal.

Riveting eye contact, and great techs. I agree, the white bg works well with some images.

The white BG is totally fine. You did a great job on the owl's exposure. The talons are very nice. I love how the Euro L.E.O.'s have orange eyes compared to their North American brothers.
